A key hallmark of all these scientists’ work is their belief that science is global, without boundaries.
Ek Pradarshani 2018 is a creative showcase of some of the best scientists India has produced. An eclectic mix, these scientists have showcased their talent in fields ranging from biology to nuclear science and belong to different parts of India, with backgrounds as diverse as the country itself. But, what unites them is their passion for science and the impact that their contributions have had on the society. Shown alongside the Nobel Prize India Series 2018, this exhibition was conceived to inspire young children to opt for pure sciences as a career.
Some of these names may be familiar to only a few, and by the juxtapositioning the old and new in this collection, it was hoped that their united quest for knowledge and zeal for discovery, against many odds, can be emulated. Designed and executed in record time of one month, Georgie’s illustrations captured the profiles of these scientists and their contribution to science in India and globally in an accessible and attractive manner.
Knockdown panels printed on wood make the exhibition easy to transport and set up across multiple locations with varying site conditions.
