Wind, Water, Fire

Annual diary for
Mytrah Energy

Today we have found ways to harness the energy of the forces we once worshipped.

Wind, water and fire. The story of the human race, right from early times, has been shaped by the forces of nature. Both their life-giving powers and untameable fury have fascinated and humbled us. Across regions and religions, the elements were both respected and feared. Our dependence on them and their ability to sustain life are as relevant now as they were thousands of years ago and in a sense, we are trying to find our way back to nature.

The wise and often mischievous sage Narada once challenged Vayu to blow off the top of Mount Meru.

With one breath, Ehecatl could move the clouds and bring rain for seeds to grow and life to blossom.

Mytrah’s vision is to work towards harnessing the power of renewables. The gift diary that we conceived for Mytrah allowed us to bring our own two rather diverse interests together, myths and legends, and sustainability.

We decided rather than create imagery that depicted deities from early civilizations that revered the elements, wind, fire and water – we would depict vignettes, almost stopping the visual frame at that point that the narratives were the most iconic. Georgie’s illustrations retain the vibrancy of these myths while using a sharp, digital style. Wanting to introduce an element of participation and interactivity, we slipped in sticker sheets allowing users to customize and personalize their diaries.
